The Space to Breathe Programme

This section outlines the Space to Breathe Programme and its objectives.

What is Space to Breathe?

The Space to Breathe Programme was developed to promote appropriate use of asthma medicines and provide self-management education in order to improve health outcomes for children with asthma. The Space to Breathe Programme is for:

  • Caregivers of children aged under 5 years old who have asthma; and
  • Health practitioners who work with young children with asthma.

How does the Space to Breathe Programme work?

The Space to Breathe Programme provides education and best practice support to caregivers of children with asthma, including health professionals.  For health professionals, tools and resources have been developed to help support and educate caregivers of children with asthma. For caregivers, there are a range of resources to help understand and better manage asthma. All resources and tools can be found on this website.
